Radio Fragments - Glam your a** off!

Well, ok, the whole show isn't glam. But we've got some Bowie, Roxie Music, Stooges, something from the Velvet Goldmine soundtrack... Heck, there's some Bauhaus & very early Ultravox, and I think the argument could be made that they come from the same place. Also tossed in there, some semi-spoken word by David Lynch, The Four Lads, and a Brazilian band singing in japanese a song based on one by a Frenchman who was covering a piece by an Italian composer done for a Swedish documentary!

It's not called Radio Fragments by accident.

The show is available from the streaming archive, or you can download the podcast/mp3 version by hour (below).

Radio Fragments - Year End 2009

Wow, it seems like only two weeks ago that Radio Fragments went on the air... oh wait. Huh. Well, regardless, there's a strange thing that happens at the end of arbitrary periods of time, a certain nostalgia that creeps in, so this week's RF includes some of my favorites from 2009 (The Slew, Timber Timbre, Au Revoire Simone, The XX) plus some great oldies...and let's not forget Ms. Dinah Washington almost bringing down the wrath of the 'won't someone think of the children' crowd. You'll find out more, including my definition of a musical trifecta, on this week's show.
