Radio Fragments - Decades-a-Go-Go

by Jeff on Nov.03, 2010,under Weekly Show

I always enjoy it when people make requests or suggest something for me. In part because it assures me that people are out there, in part because it often leads to new music, but a lot because it makes me think about music differently.

In this case, someone requested an all-oldies show, 20s-60s. This got me thinking about how my musical tastes have changed or stayed the same. So, while I will be doing the 'before I was born' show soon, tonight I'm looking at 20 years. What I've got on my ipod today in 2010, what I had on mix CDs in 2000, and what I had on mix tapes in 1990 -- each group gets about 1/3 of the show, hilarity ensues.

Hope you enjoy the show, keep those suggestions coming!
